FRENCH POP ARTIST
"On extremely worked backgrounds, his work is at the crossroads of painting and sculpture, combining, in a secret alchemy, the precision of forms and colors."
Painter and sculptor born in Paris in 1967.
At the base mainly biblical; today he turns to more contemporary and current themes, such as sport, life, money, crisis, but also the American spirit, and of course luck - hence his title "lucky" - which is a spontaneity that plays a role, not least, in life where without luck everything is more difficult & with luck everything can change.
At a very young age, he traveled the world in search of images and emotions that are at the center of his works. Indeed, his painting and his works all have a meaning and a hidden meaning that can be interpreted through the implementation of his work.
On extremely worked backgrounds, his work is at the crossroads of painting and sculpture, combining, in a secret alchemy, the precision of forms and colors. His technique allows him to mix materials like concrete, stone or wood, all in trompe l'oeil, always with a real touch.
He varies his way of working, these materials and textures, which is one of his main ways to stand out. Indeed, he realizes his works on canvas as well as on Plexiglas, or even aluminum that he undulates.
His choice of materials is a thoughtful choice with regard to the work he does. Many reflections frame his way of proceeding. For example, for the theme of life, the undulation will be a way to give movement to his art to represent the ups and downs of it.
